Thanks for the update Noone.
Anyone know what the deal is with the owner? Why is he/she not being held accountable?

Yes.
Always informative...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

lol, yeah Noone, can you elaborate a bit on this. You said in the post that "Everything donated. Public, Private, Partnership." So how is the owner being held responsible for this if it's taking tax dollars and donations?

Sure I can elaborate. But instead of getting more posts pulled we can all only hope that one media outlet in TV, print, radio, the administration, Councilwoman Boyer, Capt. Suber the Waterways Coordinator any JWC member, DIA can be there in the morning and just ask and tell us all how the owner is being held responsible and the breakdown of donations, and tax dollars.

Just left the Wreck of the Lady St. Johns. Waiting on another pump. Can't make this stuff up.

Maybe it will hang around for the next one spark and someone can pitch sinking it completely to make an artificial reef/dive attraction.

Walked by a few minutes ago and it was partially floated. Looks like they have a crane lifting the back up while they pump.  Lots of water coming out sonit appears whatever kind of hole is in the hullnis pretty substantial.

Should be towed this afternoon. Media interviews?

BridgeTroll

When are they towing the other one?

Likely a broken hose at a through hull fitting.  Many neglected boats sink because the hose leak.

QuoteCity officials say it's up to the boat's owner to cover the removal costs but they didn't know how much that is.

The boat's owner will also have to pay the city a rental fee for the dock space it's taken up since September.

Action News Jax reached out to the owner of Lady St. Johns, but did not receive a response.

Most vessel sinking occur dockside. Often preventable/predictive.

"Insurance" surveys and other reviews provide direction..........

Hopefully COJ had effective dockage agreement in hand, such details would typically include owner marine insurance particulars.Who Knows??

I challenge any and all here to procure a copy of  Lady St. Johns dock agreement(s) from your government.
