I seem to remember a previous estimate to repair the foutain pumps in order to make it fully operational was around $300k.  IMO, fix the fountain first and then focus on the rest of the park.

“In no way would we contemplate getting rid of the fountain” should probably read, “We are no longer planning to demolish the fountain.”
