QuoteLooks like the ESPN's SEC Network won't be the only way to hear from college football star Tim Tebow — he's also getting a new role on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Nice to see Tim Tebow landing a gig on TV. He's an outstanding role model and an upbeat person, a positive influence.

There is more to life than being able to read the bible and being a mindless puppet to religion. Unfortunately Timmy is younger than me and I will be hearing about him the rest of my life.

For some reason, I still wish he was on our team. I realize he would at best be 3rd string QB, but my football friends say he would never be on the team unless he was the starter.

He could be an H-back or second tight end, and serve on special teams. Cannot help but think he would be a good leader in the clubhouse.

Hard to believe he lives here but is not on the Active roster.

Starting QB was not the issue. Staying a QB was. He was offered other positions and they were refused.

Belichick even said he wished he could have kept him, that he liked his work ethic and attitude. But he was blunt and said, my roster and salary caps don't permit 3 QB's. I think that says it all.

Maybe there's space on the Jacksonville Sharks roster?

I think Tim would be a great rugby player.

His heart obviously isn't in football, if it were, he would have taken the Denard Robinson approach and accepted another position and still be on the field.  I'm willing to bet he could run the ball as well as Toby Gerhart, if he could just get past his self pride of being a quarterback.

Tim Tebow makes surprise visit to Timberlin Creek Elementary in St. Johns County

QuoteTim Tebow made a surprise visit to Timberlin Creek Elementary School in St. Johns County Tuesday morning.

Tebow came back to his home in Northeast Florida for the Good Morning America 'Upgrades Your Morning' series.

Tebow waited in a small room just outside the cafetorium with a TV crew in tow.

"We're going to have fun with these kids. It'll be fun," Tebow told First Coast News as he waited.

"This is an area near and dear to Tim's heart," producer Gary Wynn said.
