1,2,3, and 6 are publicly funded.  Kind of interesting considering the prevalent anti-government attitudes in the area.

Oh that's the 'unique' thing about our local teabags, they don't mean when it benefits them...

Chase continues to have several rounds of layoffs so I wonder if this time next year if they'll be at the bottom if the list or delisted?

Yes.

I know alot of people that went to Chase in 2011-2012. A large number of them have been reassigned within the bank or let go.

Sorta like those calling for defense cuts... just not here...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I believe the names are "Naval Station Mayport" (not Naval Air Station) and Naval Air Station Jacksonville.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

While Chase has had some reduction if force locally in Mortgage Banking, many have been redeployed - all the while increasing their branch expansion in North Florida.

The scary part of htis list is that none of these employers "create" anything.  These are all services.

Why isn't Bi-lo Holdings on this list? If you combine Their building on Cassat and Edgewood, the building in Deerwood Park, the distribution center and all of the Winn-Dixie retail locations it should be near the top of this list.

Bi-lo, Publix, Walmart, etc. probably all have more than many of the places on the list, if you start adding up their retail locations.
