so how would you like to see colors implemented into the new structures in jax?

Architectural diversity adds to the atmosphere of lively urban areas.  If it were up to me, I'd like to see individual buildings take on a life of their own, in regards to color, design, materials and lighting schemes.  As long as they are properly designed at pedestrian scale (ex. building lines at sidewalks, buildings have interactive uses at street level and with their surroundings, etc.), they'll all tie in together to create a unique inviting feel for the district.

"Jacksonville has a chance to compete with cities like this"

Bwahaha!!

Until J-Ville moves into the Caribbean, that ain't gonna happen! It's not about competing, it's about taking advantage of the natural strengths of one's own area.

Incorporate/learn from, don't try to compete (be like) another area.

Painting a few bridges in comparison with PUERTO RICO? C'mon.

Tourists will still flock to PR to have fun. J-Ville will still attract families who want a stable life style and affordable housing.
