The wife, the Fishweir children 3, and myself picked up the trolley this last January session from the florist at St. Johns. The kids rode free and we bought our tickets on the bus. We rode to Carmines and spent more than we bargained for. Afterwards, we checked the phone and were able to jump out of the restaurant and grab the trolley to Bold City for a look at the band, a few popsicles, and a couple of Dukes. Again, when we decided to leave, we consulted the phone and it was flawless. Jumped on, back to the let off by Fishweir E. and home again. Great night that the kids still talk about.

I have a 30 day starcard to ride the bus. Can I use it on this trolley as well? Or do I still need to buy that particular nightly pass?

There is plenty of extra parking on Edgewood Avenue in Murray Hill. Perhaps the trolley could stop there. Provides more parking and encourages development in the area to alleviate pressure for more bars and restaurants in the Shoppes of Avondale and King Street.

Yes, you can use your STAR card as this is a JTA (pilot) route!

As an Avondale resident,why make such effort when I can simply remain "Local" rather than traverse to King Street.Why the socially constructed image of such a long corridor deemed "local" (try walking it a dozen times in a row....) as supposedly so dang effort-less easy to access?? 
Why participate in the Planner & Consultant How To Pack More In Avondale Theory??

That's what my beloved vehicle ( and private Drive-way) are for.

Is one weekend each month really a good way to test the market for this service?  If an entrepreneur were trying this wouldn't they do it every weekend, accept cash fares and have partnership deals with establishments on the route?  The government skeptic in me says that if JTA decides this isn't viable we still won't know if it's not viable because they didn't test it properly.

That's what my beloved vehicle ( and private Drive-way) are for.

It is local. As a former Riverside/Avondale resident i took for granted how close everything is over there. Five points is 2 miles away from Avondale. Sure, they all have their individual districts, but it's all so close together and easy to navigate. I often went carless for days at a time over there, it a was nice perk.

Now that I commute 42 miles roundtrip to work I'm amused when a Riverside friend doesn't want to go "all the way" over the bridge to San Marco. Or "way down there" to Roosevelt/San Juan.

You guys have a very navigable community, keep pushing for the connectivity!
