The game in Fenway will be a de facto Notre Dame home game.

I dunno about a 'de facto home game' as they are playing Boston College. Those Bostonians are usually very prideful about their teams. That ratio between the opposing fans should be very interesting though.

Notre Dame is "Boston's" team for all intents and purposes. It goes back 60-70 years when Notre Dame played games in Boston, New York, Chicago, etc every year and was one of the few teams that was on tv frequently. The link is behind a paywall now, but the Irish routinely crush BC for tv ratings.

Also since it is a Notre Dame "home" game, BC will only be getting 5,000 tickets despite the game being a few miles from campus.
