Come to 20*40 Talks Next Thursday

Interested in hearing 3 dynamic speakers working for positive change in our region in less time than your lunch hour?

Apologies for the the sales pitch, but I thought MJ readers might be interested in attending USGBC North Florida's 20*40 Talks event next Thursday, December 5 from 11:30 to 1:00 PM at the UNF University Center. (Lunch is provided).

The premise of 20*40 Talks is simple: 3 speakers get 20 slides, 40 seconds per slide, to share how they are contributing towards making Northeast Florida sustainable by the year 2040. (We acknowledge our debt to Pecha Kucha and TED).

MJ's very own Ennis Davis is one of the speakers next week.

While Ennis needs no further introduction here, we've got three other great (and local) speakers:

• Hazel Henderson, an internationally renowned economist / author / TV producer and founder of Ethical Markets Media (www.ethicalmarkets.com) will discuss the green economy.
  
  
• Jen Jones, Executive Director of Unity Plaza, and W. Alex Coley of Hallmark Partners will discuss the Brooklyn neighborhood's up-and-coming urban, outdoor event space. http://unityplazajax.com/
