Those of you wanting to support the relief effort in the Philippines can do so through any number of charities involved.

American Red Cross

Apple
There is now an option in the iTunes Store allowing donations. Apple will xfer 100% to the American Red Cross

AT&T & Verizon are offering free calls and texts to the Philippines for customers trying to reach family

Habitat for Humanity will be offering shelter repair kits for those who are trying to rebuild their homes

The International Rescue Committee has launched a $10M USD appeal and have sent an emergency team to Manila to begin logistics.

The Salvation Army is taking $10 donations via text message. 100% goes to relief.  Send TYPHOON to 80888 or donate through www.salvationarmyusa.org

World Food Programme (A UN organization) is sending 40 tons of high energy foods and is working with the Filipino Government on logistics. To help send the text word AID to 27722 to donate $10.

World Vision is providing food and water to those in evacuation shelters and assist up to 1.2 million people. Donations can be made at www.worldvision.org

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries has set up a logistics center in Manila and is coordinating with the 300 pastors through the country to provide assistance.  You can donate to their effort at www.ncm.org
If you would like to be an onsite volunteer and go to the Philippines to help, you can register with serve.nazarene.org and they will contact you about what is needed and for how long.
