Has anyone been on youtube lately? November 6, 2013 Google+ was integrated into youtube, and turnt it into a complete disaster!!! I can't stress enough how much it sucks! I went to change.org, and signed a petition to get youtube back how it's supposed to be. Google + is a clusterf*@k of a 'so called' social media site. It seems like the main purpose of it is to destroy the anonymity that was within youtube by overly micromanaging it. Don't even get me started on the youtube's new wannabe facebook comments section, which is complete BS. Google Plus Blows!!!

I'm completely fine with people having to sign in under their real name to troll YouTube comment threads.

What are you talking about?  I haven't noticed anything major that has "turnt" youtube into a disaster.

Google+ is actually a very good social network. Most of your friends and family probably aren't on there, but there's a ton of interesting people and groups, from politics to science and technology.
It's all about who you follow.

The YouTube comments section has always been one of the worst things on the Internet, even worse than other comments sections, which is really saying something. The new changes don't seem likely to make it any worse.

Damn, so far it sounds like I'm in the minority to say the least. That's really a complete shocker that everyone disagrees with me...If I would've said "Goggle+ is Awesome" then of course everyone would have disagree.... Even the co-founder of youtube Jawed Karim said "Why the f*@k do I need a google+ account to comment on a video?" If yall think that everyone is cool with Google plus, go to youtube, and type in google plus, and see all of the backlash against it.

Youtube was an awesome simple site to use, now they turned it into a disaster. Most people on youtube don't care about finding youtube comment on their smartphones; This simple niche community would rather just look it up on the computer. I can just go on and on why G+ is a catastrophe. Youtube was easily one of my top five sites; I'm on it multiple times everyday. I'm not really a big social media guy. Of course all of the facebook people will like youtube now, because it's comment section is a bad facsimile of facebook. If you make a comment on youtube now, and it gets completely buried into an abyss because of everyones G+ 'circles'. Sure spam was an issue, but they are certainly better ways of going about that, instead of making youtube into a bad copy of facebook. Anyone who acts as if G+'s integration into yt is seamless is completely fooling themselves. Do the research.

That's a bold statement  ::)

What they should have done is a comment system more like reddit, where there's some sort of voting in place to keep away the spam. The comments on youtube needed to be addressed, they were the worst on the internet, even behind 4chan.
I will admit though, I won't comment on certain videos because of the connection to my plus page. I don't want everyone knowing my political views, what I might be researching, etc.
At the end of the day, google and youtube don't owe you anything. If you don't like it, move on. There are other competitors; dailymotion and vimeo seem quite popular.

I would love some of whatever drugs you're on.  Most of my family and friends made profiles, then quickly abandoned them. The only people still using that stinking pile of manure are hardcore android users because they have absolutely no choice. Google+ is a horrible wasteland of a social platform, and the only reason I still have a google+ is for the hangouts so that I can talk to one person (because they integrated google chat into google+.) YouTube is an utter shitshow of fake g+ profiles now. YouTube is asking everyone multiple times a day if they really, honestly want to continue to use their YouTube handle, And this move has damaged views and revenues for sponsored content creators.

Most if not all of the initial replies to I-10east's original post are Google sock puppets.  I've got one friend who's done contract work for Google & he still has friends actually still employed by Google.  The word is that there's horrible communication between the Google's Research & Development and the guys in the Ivory Tower.  Marketing misrepresents & skews data from R & D to tell the guys at the top what they want to hear, that they're going to dominate the internet in all aspects, so they get huge budgets and a long leash.  Google anticipated some resistance hence the sock puppets posting on all forums supporting G+ but Due to marketing downplaying the anti G+ response they were completely unprepared for the massive backlash that occurred.

Google is butt buddies with the NSA & would love to sink their teeth into US government contracts not just for the money but more so for the control & government protection and carte blanche that would come with them.  It's all about Orwell's 1984.  Call me a paranoid old bastard if you want but it's happening now, today.

Playing chess is about thinking 3 moves ahead. The US govt. is no Bobby Fischer but they didn't exactly step off the short bus either.  Government invasion of every aspect of our lives in the name of "national security" is more about the future management of American citizens enraged over a growing dictatorship of a government than protecting us.

In one lifetime here in America the 4th Amendment will become a meaningless ink scrawl.  The freedom our ancestors died for is being taken from us one step, one case, one amendment at a time.

Don't believe me? Don't expect to be spoon fed links here. Just do your own research on:
Edward Snowden NSA Whistleblower
XBox 1 Kinect 24 hour online live camera/mic in your living room.
911: Do you really think that massive structures like that just collapse neatly, cleanly, vertically in nice neat piles without it being a tightly orchestrated demolition?  Again, don't take my word, research it yourself.

Watch your back & fuck Google.

Oh and anyone who bashed the original poster's, (I-10east), assertions can drop to a knee & throat veiny, trobbing donkey gristle.  Only a completely deluded moron or worse a flat out liar could deny the MASSIVE backlash against the G+ infestation of YouTube from both viewers and content creators alike.

Take the gloves off and hit 'em where it hurts.  Be a voice & be a loud one.  We may have to take it in the end but we don't have to take it lying down.

It's amusing that an account with 2 posts on this forum is calling people with hundreds or thousands of posts "sock puppets".

Furius Jorge brought up a great point. It's funny how when the whole Snowden/NSA thing came down, many on here were ranting and raving about the 'invasion of privacy, Big Brother' etc; Fast forward to when I made this thread, and astonishingly they're are so many G+ fans. IMO if you're one of these 'invasion of privacy' people (which I'm not) it's very hypocritical to be with Team G+.
