Finally, a hostel in Jacksonville! Bloom-- a Design Hostel

Great news!  This year I started hosting travelers and visitors to the area using three venues- first couch surfing, inspired by my traveling daughter Meredith who was doing this all over Europe (now WHO is letting you stay in their houses, Meredith??) and then workaway and finally airbnb.  I am still doing the airbnb and workaway. I found l wanted something reciprocal for staying in my house and both have been really helpful in either getting some projects done at my house and providing needed income for my space.  I really enjoyed being able to share my home and people enjoyed the alternative lodging.  Hotels are pretty sterile and impersonal- also I think lonely.

Sorry to dig up a super old thread but, does anyone have any updates about "Bloom?" It seems I can't find any updates past a year or so ago. I was really hoping that this would become a reality!
