Was it Ram Das? Kübler-Ross? David Carradine? One of them identified the five stages of grief. Today I’ve been through all five: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. Five stages in a single day. It wore me out. But I’m such a fan, I wanted to send Jennifer Carroll the exactly right words, the perfect advice. But, as I mulled the matter over in my mind, the content of my advice kept changing, depending the the stage I was in.
