All that glitters is not gold and this is a lesson Jacksonville and other communities are learning first hand right now.  Below is an interesting piece by Mark Woods of the TU.  I feel ya Mark, I really do.

You can look at recent Facebook posts.

As Nelson Cuba, president of the Fraternal Order of Police in Jacksonville, sat in a jail in Seminole County, his Facebook page still featured a photo of him standing next to Sheriff John Rutherford, one of the people who put him in jail. And one of the last posts was from one week earlier, a story about Florida lawmakers passing an ethics bill.

Cuba wrote: “Isn’t it ironic that these legislators must pass legislation to make themselves have ethics?”

It is ironic. So is the memory of contract battles and Cuba accusing others of hiding money. And so is the still unfolding saga of an organization with the slogan “veterans helping veterans” and a business card covered with flags and eagles.

Check out the list attached to this article to view all the "play pretties" Allied Veterans and friends bought with their ill gotten gains.  I will be interested to see how defense attorneys explain this away.  Looks like Nelson Cuba had several bank accounts seized.

What is interesting is that their was 5mil in Iraqi currency.  How odd.   ???
