I was in Charleston last weekend & have noticed a trend in open air rooftop decks & bars downtown.  I know Jax Beach has one or two, however, are there any other places currently around town operating or available?

Mossfire Grill, in Five Points, has a roof deck.

It seems Marks could develop something like that.  I say this not believing there to be any space above it.  This bar is already one of the more trendy upscale spots to go could really thrive with more of an outside setting besides the so called roped off front terrace in front or what seems to be a back patio.  Downtown Orlando has capitalized on rooftop entertainment with spots like Chillers and Sky Bar and it really adds an extra dimension to those spots.  Jacksonville needs to let its nightlife capitalize more on the tropical weather we have 10 months out of the year with this type of feature.  I would love to see some of that implemented, especially on Bay Street locations.

Marks is on the bottom of a four story building.

Figured something like that, shows you what I am up when I am there.  With that in mind, are there any tenants above them or is that space available?  Do the owners of Mark's own that building or just leasing the bottom?  Chillers in Orlando, which has been there for more than a decade is a four story building with different themed bars and clubs throughout.  I know DT Jax isn't at that point, but I can't deny the similarities in the buildings lining Bay and the buildings on Church and Orange in DT Orlando.

I believe Mark's leases space in the building.  There's an architecture firm leasing office space above.
