Don Redman responds to resident's email by calling him a "miserable individual"

This is worthy of a national news blurb, how embarassing.  So of all the emails he has left alone in his career, he goes out of his way to reply via iPhone to this particular email?  Step back and think about what that implies here because it is absolutely hysterical.

When you're away from your computer and you're checking emails with a mobile device, you only reply to those that need a response asap.  He just couldn't wait to reply to that citizen's email, and he was probably red in the face as he typed his response!  What a sad little man he is (his kids should be absolutely ashamed of their father...I would have either run away or killed myself if Redman were my dad).

As a person who regularly and constantly needs Jesus, I cringe when the boss man's name is tossed around like that.

(Although I understand needing to grab some authority if your credibility tank is empty.)

Jesus' harshest criticism was saved for the religious hypocrites of his time.  Just sayin'

May I commend Captain Z on his use of the word "dolt". Given the circumstances, no other word would have done.....

Thank you, thank you. It is a real treat when you can use that description of a person and have it capture their essence so completely.

Did Redman really use a small g for God?  Doesn't the city's email program have spell check, for crying out loud?  If people have elected someone who can't spell simple elementary school level vocabulary words to an important job like running the city, at least the email program should do spell check and not let us know it.

I am not very concerned with his misspellings, considering the whole email is a bunch of crazy from a maniac unfit to lead a conga-line, nevermind a city. However, "individule" and "truthes" are more worrying than "god," particularly because "god" is an actual word even without the capitalization. In fact, you are just assuming that his beliefs require him to capitalize the "G." Not every person that believes in a diety has that ever-famous 11th commandment of the Judeo-Christian catechism: "Thou shalt use thine shift key only for Me; Caps Lock ONLY WHEN ANGRY!"

Anywho, Bativac sums my opinion up well. His misspelling of God/god is not a concern. The fact that he invokes his chosen diety when making otherwise horribly uninformed decisions about our city is a major concern.

The bigger concern is an elected official basically telling one of his constituents that he needs Jesus. Until religion is totally removed from the governing of our city, state, and country, we will continue to spend time (and money) dealing with issues about which there should be no room for debate.

I've said it before, but Don Redneck seems to be a fu&*# idiot in every way. Plain & simple. And his grammatical/spelling errors would make a grade school student point & laugh.

I hope you're reading this, Don (if you even have the ability). You, and people like you are, are exactly what's wrong with this town.

The guy is a colossal joke. So sad. Just one of the reasons I got out of Cowford.

I think the funniest (or saddest I suppose) thing about this is that Redman replied on his iPhone. I applaud the councilman for somehow defeating that liberal spell check not once, but twice!

And to think his cell phone has Auto-correct.  ::)

Here we go again.  The city and the people of the church.

One of the greatest gifts to mankind, and yes, even to each citizen within the city core, is that necessary and beautiful quality we call freedom.  Any church entity or body which is set upon existing within the city core, occupying such a large segment of its land, and is inclined to control or restrict the freedoms of others who live, work, or visit the core, should be considered contrary to the economic dynamism and revitalization of the city core.  A city, by its very nature, must be free to grow naturally, without the constraints and controls inherent in a church or religious environment.

It’s a shame that we have so many people in our city government who seem to either be comfortably involved in this large church, or who pretend that they are, so as to gain the vote or be accepted into the fraternity wielding the local power.  A city must be free of excessive and continuous church influence, else it cannot evolve naturally according to the needs, expectations, dreams, and efforts of a genuine and honest population with secular aims and inclinations.

Not to be Johnny Raincloud here, but when you get an email response from someone, who NEVER responds to emails, let alone on a controversial issue like this, and it has a silly amount of misspells....smells like someone either hacked his account, borrowed his phone or is pulling someone's leg.

Except that he admitted to sending it.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Quote from: Times Union article
Redman stands by what he wrote, though he said he “probably was a little short with him in my response.”
“It was an instant response, and I probably should have done better than that,” he said. “But that was basically the way I felt at the time. I actually felt he was a misguided individual. I didn’t buy what he was trying to say as facts, so I wrote a short response and did say I would be praying for him.”

Dog Walker

It has long been rumored that Mr. Redman is dyslexic and that his staff has to read things to him.
