KK news update:...If everyone is finished squabbling over a moot point.
Today they laid a little bit of foundation. I will post a few photos on PHOTOS BY BIG CHEESE if anybody cares to see them.

Update: Today I was taking pictures again. Vapor barrier is down. They are planning on laying the foundation Thursday

Krispy Kreme on Cassat Avenue should be opening around the 27th or 28th of this month. There are tons of people anxiously awaiting this event. I continue to update the progress on Facebook at PHOTOS BY BIG CHEESE. Even the out of town KK management are following me. lol. As of yesterday they needed to finish the parking area on the north end of the building, equipment is ready to use on the inside and the finishing touches are being attended to. Anyone from the westside ready for some KK doughnuts?

lol not my first post on this. due to complications caused by my computer melt down, I had to change my MJ log in name. was formally Big Cheese.This afternoon I was by there again. Got a pic. of the new banner which reads: "opening in 8 days."
More exciting for me is my friendly KK management lady was there and gave me the promised invitation for the private party on Saturday. My friends and family made jokes about me being the KK stalker. Eat your heart out to all of them....I will be enjoying my KK doughnuts come Saturday....hot-to-go!!

lol The sign out front says doughnuts. I think the OTHER place spells theirs donut. I will tell you that Wednesday night, thinking the furor would have died down, I drove over. Got in the drive-thru line which was formed on College St. That, was at 11:16 p.m. 31 minutes later I made it as far as the edge of the parking lot. 12:04 I received my box. Traffic was lined up down College all the way to Lenox. I am still taking photos. Tonight I got my first pics. of the iconic sign all lit up.
