My experience with upgrading to iOS 6 began with ALL my contacts being erased. I'm not happy about that at all. I'd be even more unhappy if all my texts and call history got erased as well.

I do like that Siri now does turn by turn navigation, but she seems, in general, just as confused and slow as she was before. I'm sure there are some other improvements I haven't explored yet.

I noticed some people complain about iOS being boring. So far for me, however, I haven't had apps crashing with windows-like crash messages or glitching out, doing things like opening the calendar when I'm trying to type a message. I've had many frustrations with Android, so I'm OK with boring for now.

But yeah, erasing my contacts while "syncing with the cloud". NOT cool.

I've been running iOS 7 since last week and really enjoy it. There's a lot of nice new features, and the built-in apps have gotten a lot better as well. The Airdrop feature seems to be the only major addition limited to only newer iOS device. The only issue I see right now is that battery consumption is definitely increased; not massively, but enough to notice for sure. If you've previously had battery life issues due to usage or coverage of your cellular provider, I'd probably wait until the first patch is released since I'm sure that will be the first thing they address.
