Email  | Twitter  | Facebook We’ve been looking at Intuition Ale Works owner Ben Davis’ plan to build a brewery Downtown for the last few weeks.

You can read the original story here.

In Friday’s print edition, we took a look at what having more unique businesses, like Intuition, could mean to Downtown Jacksonville and the city’s economic development.

Now, here’s a visual of Davis’ idea: The conceptual site plan he submitted to Don Shea, executive director of the Jacksonville Civic Council and adviser to Mayor Alvin Brown's office, and Jerry Mallot, president of JaxUSA Partnership, on June 18 for a brewery and taproom on the Shipyards, the vacant, riverfront site on the Northbank.

What do you think of the plan?

In duvaldude's defense, the search functionality on this site is very bad. An area for improvement, perhaps.

I agree that it could be better but I think it's a function of our server. I hope Lunican or Steve could shed some light on this as I've about lost my mind with all of the JRTC articles and our own renderings which seem to have been swallowed up into MJ cyber space.

I didn't want to come across too critically.

We all know it needs significant improvement, so we don't view this as too critical or harsh.  I struggle to find old articles myself and I've written most of them.

Sadly that neighborhood would be worse than North Riverside. Ben and Cari know that the water is the place to be so people can arrive by boat, car, bike or on foot.

Love the sentiment Ock, but the rights to that name were sold years ago to a brewery in Texas that is now part of Pabst et al.
