Third installment of the Jax Cash Mob will be held in San Marco on Saturday June 30th.  The start time has been modified a bit to allow for more people to stay afterward and eat lunch at a locally-owned restaurant.

The plan is to meet at Pizza Palace in San Marco Square at 11AM.  The secret store will then be unveiled and we ask you to spend $10-20 at the store as a show of support for locally-owned small businesses.  At around 12:30PM we'll then reconvene at Pizza Palace for lunch and socializing.

Spread the word to your friends.

Less than two weeks away.  Consider telling two friends about the cash mob on Saturday June 30th at 11AM Pizza Palace in San Marco.  All you have to do is find something cool in San Marco Square, have lunch or a drink and meet some like-minded people.

A few people have met at the cash mobs and then gone on to do other cool projects.  That's what having a sense of community is all about!

The cash mob is this Saturday.  Meet at Pizza Palace in San Marco at 11AM and we'll mob a business and meet back for lunch/drinks/socializing.

Spread the word.  If everyone reading this told two friends... the turnout would be phenomenal and we'd help some great locally owned small businesses in the process.

Bumping this up so everyone has the opportunity to know about and attend this event.

Still a few days to round up some friends and head to San Marco this Saturday to cash mob a local business.

Looking forward to my first cash mob on Saturday!

Awesome, welcome aboard tg.

If anyone else needs something to do before spending Saturday afternoon enjoying the nice weather... come on down to San Marco Square Pizza Palace at 11AM

Mike,

I just want to dig at you a little - you seem to have the Cash Mobs down pat - we're looking at another weekend of perfect weather, albeit a little hot outside - perfect temps to enjoy an ice cold I-10, though.

You need to work some of that magic on the food truck rallies.   Seems that you enjoy planning those for ducks.  ;D

In all, great job.  Keep it up.

Lol, I did good Wednesday for the Community Hospice event... one food truck each at five different locations to feed all the nursing assistants throughout NE Florida... Wednesday was the first day with no rain in the 4 days prior!

Rest assured, there will be three(perhaps four) more opportunities for the Jax Truckies rain curse to strike again by the end of the summer.

81 people showed up Saturday and everyone seemed to have a great time.  I met some cool new people and Elias from Pizza Palace was ectastic seeing the place buzzing at lunch time during such a HOT day.

The Write Touch was the 'target' and we handed out stamps and encouraged others to buy some stationary and write loved ones, invite their neighbors over for dinner or send a note of thanks and a small check to their favorite non-profit.

The San Marco community really rallied around the cash mob concept and drew more people than Avondale.  San Marco Preservation Society is certainly one of the most impressive groups in this city.  Hats off to people like Doug Skiles and George Foote for making it happen!

I wondered what in the world a Cash Mob was.  What a great idea!

Way to go Mike! I was out of town Sat. Looking forward to making one. The Skiles team and San Marco do raise it up a notch.
