QuoteThe State Attorney’s Office new home in the former Federal Building might not be ready for two years after its design-build agreement was terminated.

Quote“I heard ‘two years’ for the first time today. We can’t live with that,” said State Attorney Angela Corey.

“We need to be in that building as soon as possible. This will not bode well for our day-to-day function,” she said.

The Courthouse is the snake that keeps on biting everyone who tries to tame it. Mayor Brown, its your turn with the snake, enjoy.

I cant believe how the courthouse has been handled. I really wish Delaney could have taken care of it. Under Peyton's Administration it became and a complete Chaos. I know Brown is banging his head on the desk and wish that courthouse would just disappear. The buck has been passed to you Alvin. Have fun. LOL

The Baseball grounds and Arena were cooler projects that more people have since enjoyed. Library is so-so, the homeless enjoy the newer restrooms, and the Courthouse now has, as of yesterday, concrete problems inside resulting in leaks and other issues. Saw on Action News their story with Greg Anderson as their council person. Give 'em hell Greg!

i thought the leaks were due to faulty sprinkler head? This is just a disaster that will not go away. Calling it a snake is a great metaphor.

the good news is the delay in renovating the old Federal courthouse means that we all have at least another year to better figure out what to do with the city hall annex (now called courthouse annex) building.
