I noticed the coming soon sign yesterday in the old Subway storefront for Domo crepes, i'm excited to try them and I think they'll be a great addition to the area.

You're about to make my wife a happy woman...as soon as I forward this to her.  Thanks!

Fond memories of Paris!  Buckwheat crepes with cheese from sidewalk stands; made while you watch.  Terrific!

I had heard that it was going to be another coffee shop and was shaking my head.

Great to have something different.

Paris..1999..november...crepes for breakfast lunch and dinner...all off of the same cart and the best i've ever had...mmmgood.

Crepes!?!  I've heard of these creations before, but someone remind me - Do they taste more like pizza or sushi?

Actually, they're closer to frozen yogurt :D

In all seriousness though, this sounds like a great addition to the 'hood.

And November is the best month to be there.  Cool, grey skies, no tourist crowds, romantic.

@ Non-Redneck Westsider ---> +100!

For such an imaginative and creative neighborhood, one would think that Riverside-Avondale would have more to offer than just another sushi place.  Don't get me wrong, I like sushi, but overkill is overkill...

Strangely enough, even with 5 (I'm including the 2 in the Publix center on Roosevelt) in the area, I usually don't stray from Sake House.   I'm thinking the other 4 have the same kind of loyalty from their customer base as well, or they wouldn't be there any longer.

And honestly, I'm thinking that there's so much markup in the sushi that they don't require a lot of business to cover the costs.  1/2 - 3/4 oz of tuna for $3 = PROFIT$

Did the sign happen to say when they plan on opening?  I'll try and run by there some time and answer my own question, and if/when I do come back and post.

We've had crepes in Paris and they were very good, but the absolute best crepes I ever had were in Nantes.  I haven't had enough of a sampling to really be considered an expert, so I'll need to make a few more trips... :D

Here it is.  I am really looking forward to this.

There is a place in St. Louis called the Crepery and it is great.

Hey, sign maker!  It's dinner.

Looking forward to their opening.

They couldn't open soon enough....

A quality crepe place that's open late is a ridiculously awesome addition to the neighborhood.
