I am most pleased by how the weather held out for us in Riverside...

I was very encouraged by the mayor-elect's visit to the Beach Diner, where he met and spoke with local officials (the mayors of Atlantic and Neptune Beaches, the Atlantic Beach city manager and others).  One of the officials told me that the mayor-elect was brave for venturing into what is a Republican stronghold and for reaching out to those who might have voted the other way.  Personally, I question whether the other candidate in the mayor's race would have made a similar gesture toward those who were not part of his 'base.'  Now is the time to live up to the 'one city' mantra and the incoming mayor is following through on his word.

I heard a rumor... that the Clintons will be in attendance
