Hey guys!  Just wanted to introduce myself.  I am the owner of Le Chat Noir - Cupcake Bordello and Bakery and I am scouting locations in Jacksonville to open my retail storefront.

I specialize in artisan cupcakes...with a slightly naughty (tounge-in-cheek) theme, and French macarons (not to be confused with the chewy coconut confection), as well as custom cakes (wedding/sculpted) and my signature 4-layer bistro cakes.

I am a huge proponent of using local ingredients as well as organic where available so if you know of any great local dairies to source cream, butter, milk and eggs, PLEASE let me know!

I love to play with my food using unconventional ingredients to create dynamic flavor combinations (think, BACON).

Also, if you know of a location that you think would be a good fit, I'm open to suggestions:-)

Looking forward to introducing all of you to the G.I.R.L.S (Gorgeous, Incredibly, Rich, Lucious, Sweets) and satisfying your deepest dessert desires ;-)

Maybe San Marco?  It's devoid of cupcakes.

You're going to have some stiff competition with Cami Cakes in town.

Completely different than anything in Jax right now.  Think more 'pastry' and less 'cupcake.'

Yes, I called on some places in San Marco.  Anything NOT in a strip mall with a lot of pedestrian traffic is what I'm shooting for.

There's only two places that would work: the Beaches and the Urban Core. I think it would be better if you opened at the beach b/c there's more foot traffic, but 3rd street is almost all mini strip malls. Maybe Beaches Town Center? 5 Points could also work. There's not much foot traffic in Jacksonville so I don't know a great place. Maybe Downtown?

Wow - nice website.  Welcome to Jax!

Great idea. Sounds a lot like Voodoo Donut in Portland (which is a good thing).

From what you describe (putting bacon on top, doing a risqué theme, etc), I don't think San Marco would be quite as open to the idea as say, Riverside (or maybe the Beaches) would. Downtown would be OK, but you wouldn't get much foot traffic.

I'd vote somewhere in Riverside (minus Avondale).

I think downtown would be ideal, but it would just have to be near other businesses to get foot traffic. It would be probably do well near Olio.

I've had maple bacon cupcakes before and they are awesome! This really sounds like a riverside kind of place to me

MadamePK, Welcome back to Jax.

I want to to get an order of your Salty Seductress and I'm hoping that we can consumate this order under an FDOT overpass next to a casket company on one of the dirtiest creeks in Jacksonville  which is Hogans Creek within our Core Exchange District.  I know I'm excited.

I've shared this Downtown Urban Waterway Destination with a number of movers and shakers in this community and nothing has happened. So maybe a black book conection will Make it Happen.

I'd like to take you on a kayak paddle of Hogans Creek. The trip would be just an hour unless you allow me to lick all the icing out of the bowl. I'll show you my shopping cart depth meter chart (which I'm proud of) I'll show you what may be another potential customer base for your girls.

I hope you will say yes. I so much want to bring an extra paddle.

Regardless, All the best with your business venture.

Isn't there a cupcake shop next to the Loop on St. John's?  Also, "Let them Eat Cake"?  Edgewood Bakery?  Bakery Moderne?
