Our baby is starting to crawl and we were thinking of buying a Roomba to keep the dog hair off the hardwood floors in between vacumings.

Anybody have one?  I have read mixed reviews online and am looking for more reviews.

My cousin the bachelor has one and seems to like it. What I gather from him, the Roomba does a good job of keeping the dirt & hair manageable... he still has to vacuum regularly.

And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

They are good for maintenance, but must be emptied and recharged often.  I still vacuum almost every day.  But I have a big dog that sheds a lot.
