your right, we have something to be proud, I was a first time season ticket holder this year, and I would pay for next year today If i had to. You cant put a price tag on the memories my wife and I made this year at the games.

Soxfan, I'd say something nasty, but I won't. I mean, if it's in the bag, then let's just give them the Lombardi Trophy now rather than play the rest of the games.  ::) It's all up to Indy, now.

All I have to say about the Jags is: Rashean Mathis needs to fricking work on some fundamentals like coverage and tackling!!!

Mr.Native, Please don't hold back. I've taken crap all season long about how my Pats are cheats and everything else. I'm sorry but I am damn proud to be a Patriots fan.. I've suffered through many many losing seasons to get to this point, I will enjoy every minute of this championship... Jags fans have nothing to be ashamed of, it was a great season and a good game.. I guess you really must be in a bad mood now that Indy has lost also. I guess that just leaves San Diego and then the NFC.. I don't believe it's in the bag as I truly believe that any team can lose on any given day.. I guess Indy just proved that..  As far as Mathis is concerned, I think he's one of the better players on the Jags, maybe he just had a bad game?? I know alot of teams try to play away from him, so he can't be all that bad..
Yankees suck!! Yankees suck!! Yankees suck!!

Hey sox, I would definitely tell you to enjoy it. As a Fins fan, I have to admit that I now know how you feel with the losing seasons.

Mathis did not just have a bad game. He seemed to play timidly, not wrapping up making tackles...he didn't even bother to read Brady to make interceptions. He also got burned on a couple of long passes, without Randy Moss!

Yeah, football season is pretty much finished for me now. I guess I'll pull for San Diego and/or Green Bay, but I'm not holding my breath. I really thought the Jags could pull off something special this year. If they keep the team intact, they definitely have something to build on for next season.

We played a good game. I think some people lose sight of the fact that the Patriots are undefeated and the Jags hung with them. With a veteran receiver and some help on defense, they will be even better. Also, let's not forget that they were playing without their best o-lineman (Naeole) and maybe their best d-lineman and linebacker (Stroud and Peterson). This offseason, look for Garrard and Del Rio to get locked up long-term.

I definitely feel that if the Jags are all back next year they will again be contenders. Second, of course, to a Pats super bowl win I'd love to see a Jags super bowl win.. If the Pats were taken out by anyone I wanted it to be Jax. I was hoping for the Bolts to lose last week so the Jags would've played in Indy instead. I do consider myself a Jags fan also, just a Pats first.. I think a Jags super bowl appearance would be huge not only for the team but for the city, remember that unnamed stadium we have? If the Jags were to have made it I'd be willing to bet that there would be a new name on the stadium shortly thereafter. The Jags definitely need defensive help, there is talk of Stroud retiring after the latest injury to the same ankle, that would be a huge loss. Garrard could use a sure handed target as well. I don't think that Matt Jones has lived up to the hype.. With the right off season moves the Jags could be super bowl bound next year...

well  agree with that but first this team need some mental streghht and they cant lose games there suppose to win like the one with the saints...............that was pathetic

adamh0903

I past years I would agree with you 100 % but not this year, not even close. number 1 the saints game was with a backup QB, stroud had just been busted by the NFL for banned substances and 2 players got arrested before the trip. On top of that the main thing that hurt us in that game was the same exact thing that hurt us in the Pats game, weak secondary play. This team showed a lot of metal toughness this year. There were many chances to over look games to get to another one.
The first Texans game at home, coming of two big road wins in Denver and KC and the monday night game against indy the next week, could have been a trap game, but they took care of business and beat the texans. After loosing a heartbreaker to indy on monday night and loosing your starting QB this team regrouped and won 2 of the 3 on the road with a backup, the one loss coming to the saints. Then after another tough loss at Indy they regrouped and won the next 3 would have been 4 but they tanked the second texans game. So I think one of many things this 07 jags team did was show that have grown up and have mental toughness they need to win games.

Since the Jags couldn't pull off the win I'll be pulling for the Pats to go all the way.  That way NOBODY will have the bragging rights of being better than the Pats because they beat EVERYBODY!

The first half was played very well but the second was full of errors.  All it takes is one mistake and the game can turn for any team.  In this case the mistake was against the Jags and the Pats capitalized on it.

Can't wait for next year though.  Goooo JAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right, Jason...hitch on that bandwagon and ride it. Everybody loves a winner.  ::)

Its looking bleak, but I'm now pulling for San Diego, Green Bay and NY Giants.  Soxfan don't be alarmed.  I'm a Dolphin at heart so I feel the same way about New England, that I do with Buffalo and the Jets.  Tom Brady falls in the same category as Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Curtis Martin in my book.

Well, the AFC South is out of the running so I have nobody to root for there.  Also, I have never liked San Diego nor do I want to see Coughlin's Giants at the superbowl so I would like to see the Pats go undefeated keeping the trophy on the AFC's side.  Also, its time for the old 'Fins record to be squashed.

I have similar feelings.  I'm not sure what it would take to get a sponsor for the stadium, but I enjoy seeing how the Jags success has brought people out and together.  I heard they opened up the stadium for the game on Saturday, which I thought was a great idea.  I went to the Jags-Pats playoff game 2 years ago and even then, I saw a fair number of Jags fans.  Hopefully the success will continue and they'll be able to put an end to the blackouts.

adamh0903

I was at the Landing Friday Night and Stadium Saturday night on both playoff games.

for the wildcard game I would estimate 8k people and for the Pats game probably 15k

That will never happen.  You can't defeat perfection, you can only be admitted to the VIP section.  As Mercury Morris has said, "don't call me when you're in my town, call me when you're on my block, and I see you next door moving your furniture in. That's when I'll know you're going to the championship and you're about to play. And if you win it, I'll be dressed up in a tuxedo waiting on my bride."
