Skate park? As long as there are some nice shade trees (without acorns!)

Jax definitely needs another skate park.  I currently know of only 2 within the city limits.  Cuba Hunter in the Emerson area and one on beaver street far west of town.
There's one at Ed Austin park, near the intersection of Monument and McCormick Rds.

This one is right down the street from where I live.... and Kona... and those are the only 4 I am aware of..

I was going to mention in the historic (black and white picture) above , I recognize the Waterworks building... somewhere along the line it was fixed up because I think I remember that it was in really bad shape at one time.... while I am surprised given the track record , that they did not bulldoze and replace it, I am glad the building is there.

This is a nice area...certainly wish remedial work could be done to restore it.  I guess that would be tremendously expensive.

speaking of "Jax Central PArk" who else is a little annoyed that with all the work recently wrapped up all over MAIN St {finally} looking so great even though I do think the fancy streeetlights do cast too few lumens on the ground below considering the wattage and dollars consumed.. . I digress _ Why aren't the lights continued north of State to 1st?
