Im all about second chances!!!!  But does anyone find this shocking????  I mean, he's only been carrying around $100k in cash while driving in cars owned by known drug dealers.  Henry Manns made Downtown Don Brown look like Mother Theresa.  Such a shame!

One-time flamboyant leader of Jacksonville drug gang busted this afternoon in drug sting in Lake City

Oh, Henry.

The once flamboyant leader of a Jacksonville drug gang, whose release from prison in 2007 was followed by a splashy party and a return trip to prison, was arrested Monday in a drug sting in Lake City, law enforcement sources told the Times-Union.

Henry Manns, 47, is being held on state charges and is likely to face federal charges in Jacksonville. He is accused of trying to buy a pound of cocaine from undercover officers. The sting was led by a Drug Enforcement Administration task force, which includes Jacksonville police.

Manns had been on supervised release from federal prison since 2008 after being sentenced to one year for violating conditions of another release in 2007. He had served nearly 20 years as Jacksonville’s first convicted crack cocaine kingpin.

Manns’ family held a homecoming party for him in a Jacksonville nightclub after his 2007 release. He later promised a judge he would never get in trouble again.

Dog Walker

Over the years I have known and worked with a number of career criminals (not while they were active!) and EVERY ONE of them quickly or eventually returned to a career of crime.  I am convinced that there is no such thing as rehabilitation for these types mostly because there was no "habilitation" in the first place.

Henry Manns once had a dealers legs cut off, hands bound & thrown in an fire ants nest. The guy is gangster for real, I doubt he will do much time for a pound of coke. Federal prison is different from state prison.
