Title: What makes a city Green?
Post by: gatorback on September 29, 2007, 02:38:01 PM
What makes a city a Green City?  Why don't you ask City Hall.  Austin is nationally known as a "Green" city.  Maybe it's the Rainbarrels program available through the Austin Water Utility’s Water Conservation Program.  The cost is still $60.00 each; limit 4 per customer per month.  Cost for non-customers is $95.00 each.

Maybe it's a Water Conservation Program.  Does Jacksonville have a program?  Check out

www.WaterWiseAustin.org  I'd like the url for Jacksonville's water wise program.

Maybe it's the Save Water Win a Honda Hybrid program??? <WOW SIGN ME UP!>

Maybe it's community involvement having a Green City Festival.  Have the Mayor give the keynote.

Maybe it's City Hall hosting the festival.

See, we agree on something... but you're a gator in a dry climate... no wonder you are so concerned with water (anyone would miss the Swamp)
Check out the other post.... I made a few minutes ago....
