DOG DAYS IN THE PARK 2010: PARTY IN THE PARK
A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF FAMILY FUN
Join the Springfield Animal Care & Rescue Club (SACARC) for Dog Days in the Park 2010, celebrating fun for the whole family â€" including the four-legged members. Bring the kids and the dogs to Confederate Park on Saturday, September 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for live popular music by the Sweet Low Down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgTirDUuwpw, food, beer, wine and the world-famous Disc-Connected K9 Frisbee Team. Event features vendors, adoptable animals, kids play zone and much much more. ADMISSION IS FREE, and all proceeds benefit SACARC, a non-profit animal rescue organization in historic Springfield. Newton was a big hit yesterday -- a real show stopper -- you couldn't walk by without petting and talking to him.
This event looks like it was another HUGE success.
Jax has so much to offer people if they are willing and interested to take part and become involved. There is a lot of negativity about Jax that people seem to carry around, but this city (even to people who are not native-residents') has a lot to offer.....

That's my daughter's ankle in that pic, I'd know that birthmark anywhere.. I believe we almost had to pry Newton's leash from her hands. She loves that Pup..
