As employers flee Downtown Jacksonville, it looks like Detriot is actually attracting large employers! Quicken, Blue Cross and Blue Shield to name a few!

Very true Stephen. Our civic leaders have got to get it together! now that we have saved the JAgs for now, maybe they can focus on Downtown employment.
From Denver! this just keeps getting worse!

Maybe Detroit's advertising in the future will be "at least we aren't jacksonville'
That's what they said during the Super Bowl they hosted a few years back.

should've been doïng that in the first place, instead ov worryïng so much about a bunch ov sweaty men in tight pants. there are some people making a lot ov flippin' money off ov the jaguars, but i haven't seen them do much good for the city as a whole. more employment downtown should've been a much higher priority in the first place--a few hotdog stands in the stadium doesn't really do much for more than maybe a dozen or so mustard-slingers.
Speaking of downtown and potential jobs. Just saw in the paper today that PNC will be bringing 200+ mortgage jobs to Jax. And they are locating them on Gate Parkway.
Its great that PNC is bring jobs here, but man can we get something else besides mortgage industry jobs? We need some to spice up jax, not more here today gone tomorrow positions.
seconded. jobs in general are awesome, but mortgage jobs are just depressing
well, maybe it's not all bad news. Here is one company Downtown that believes in being downtown.
