QuotePNC Bank will open a Jacksonville office that will employ around 200 people.
Mayor John Peyton announced PNC Bank's expansion to Jacksonville during the quarterly luncheon today of Cornerstone, the regional economic development organization.
Based in Pittsburgh, PNC will use the Jacksonville office at 5011 Gate Parkway to work with homeowners with financially troubled mortgages.
"Jacksonville offers the right business environment, the right talent and the right location," said Danny Lawson, senior vice president of default operations for PNC.
He said the bank is in hiring mode and plans to have 200 positions filled by March 2011.
