So out of all the issues Florida faces with the current HSR plan this is the best thing FOX can cook up?

It would seem to me to be strange if only one rail company is interested in doing this! Maybe the others, canadian, european and chinese see problems that are not apparent to the average person or the planners of Mickey's Fiasco!

CS - the article says "one rail company bidding". Badly written, it doesn't say "one of several companies bidding" and it doesn't say "the one company bidding[/i]."

So, you can't tell if there are one, or a whole bunch of companies bidding on this.

Faux News - more interested in controversy than facts.

what's even more interesting is no one is bidding yet...

FDOT will release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) later this fall...they will then shortlist and ask the finalists to submit proposals by next spring

Just out of curiosity, what would happen if no one bid on this? OR if the selected bidder said that it could not be done for the proposed amount? Your right Mr Charles............it is badly written but the flavor is there............anyway it is looked at..........bad place for what is proposed! Miami leg is not even paid for anymore than the Orlando to St Pete leg!

So long as no American based companies and workers land the contract.

For what is being proposed, not sure if any American Company has the expertise to do this! French have the lead on HSR, probably the Chinese next up and who knows from that point! Lots of companies but none in the US...........lost our lead long ago!
