Title: Commercial building for Sale in Park and King District
Post by: MusicMan on September 01, 2010, 09:15:27 AM
Hi all, is it OK to post a classified ad here? I am Listing a cool, freestanding  historic building in the Park and King Commercial corridor and am hoping to find a buyer prospect. Since this website is monitored by hip and sophosticated folks interested in this type of thing I was curious if there is a "place to post" the listing. Please advise.

I'm not sure of the rules, but I'd love to see a picture of the building.  Where is it exactly?

You can host the photo at imgur.com.. then it will give you a direct link to the photo. You'll put that link between IMG link brackets like so:

So the link you get is http://imgur.com/xr3GK.jpg

You put it in link brackets: displays like so...

The pic above is the building. As I said, very handsome original facade.
20 foot interior ceiling heights with original stamped tin ceiling. Has great upside, rock solid, and surrounded by newer businesses. Please,
do not disturb the business owners. Thanks, MM

Correct, a perfect location for a Burrito Gallery Express, in my opinion.
Or a larger 13 Gypsies.

Have always admired that building, but could just smack the current tenant for putting up the gaudy signs.

Sq/ft?  Price?  Layout?

That has to be one of the last unaltered storefronts in Riverside.

Well, for the most part the front is original, and the lettering could easily be removed. They are asking $225K, pretty much priced to go.
With current loan rates, this is cheaper than renting, and it is big inside.

Its been on the market for a while now.  I've shown it to a couple of interested buyers but unfortunately parking is a big issue for this building if someone wanted to put in a restaurant.  It does have a small area off the alley with room for a car or two and 3-4 spaces in front.

It could be a great space if the interior were gutted to open it up because the ceilings are quite high.  While I admire Musicman's efforts, I think posting properties for sale opens up a bit of a can of worms.  I am a Realtor and I know there are many others on this site that would love to post their listings as well.  Just my 2 cents.

Good points. RE: Parking. Kickbacks is one of the most succesful
nightspots in the historic dictrict and they have only a few dedicated spaces. Folks are willing to park within a block or so if the establishment warrants a visit.  Also, you have thousands of people living within 6-10 blocks of that location...

Yeah all the interior walls could be removed in a day or so, and the windows are awesome.

It would be great if this website had a specific place for folks to List properties for sale and rent. It is absolutely appropriate considering one of the themes often written/bloged about is real estate valuations.......
