I just got these sneak peak photos of the new commuter boats that JTA is planning for the River between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach! They don't know I have them and y'all are getting the first public look by checking out this forum.
Photo One, shows one of 4 smaller craft they plan to use on the upper pottsburg Creek to bring in those stranded JTB commuters that BRT won't reach.

Photo Two and Three, shows 3 of the craftsmen that are hard at work on the larger craft in Green Cove Springs. When complete the JTA plans for the craft to have a 65 foot antenna on it's roof for GPS and radio communications with the dispatcher. There have been some delays in the program as the ship is being built just South of the 50 foot high Shands Bridge. JTA and FDOT have commissioned a study team, in a $999,000 dollar study, to see how dismantling the bridge might allow for the passage of the new boat. Go JTA!
