The space that Club Paris occupied was purchased by the owners of Twisted Martini.

The upstairs will be converted into Miss Ellie's Bar 'n Parlor and will be a VIP area.
The entire space will undergo extensive construction and renovations, but is expected to open in time for the Florida State versus Alabama game in Jacksonville on September 29th.
The space will again close after that weekend so that final preparations and renovations can be made in order for the clubs to open for the Florida/Georgia weekend at the end of October.
The owners of the clubs expect to have their grand opening in November.

I'm not a big honky-tonk fan but have been know to jump into a line dance or two after a few drinks. This concept should actually do well.

I hate to say it but it's because we are. There are far more Honky-Tonkers in this town than the posh Paris Club patrons. I think it's a good fit.
As long as it brings people willing to spend money downtown then its all good. Any idea of what happened with the Fudderuckers deal?

Well it fits the Landing's weekly free concerts which are mostly Country groups.
i wish Club Paris was open again.
The grand opening was a lot of fun. I think just about everyone in that place had a bit too much to drink.

Really? Well it said Rock & Honky Tonk. Its many rock fans in Jacksonville, especially classic rock, but what is Honky Tonk? When I hear "Honky Tonk" I think of that wrestler from the 80s that used to dress like Elvis & used to break his guitar on people.
