Boomtown Returns to Springfield.
Boomtown Theatre signed a lease with Petra Management (Chris Hionides) on Wednesday, September 12th to reopen the popular entertainment venue on Main Street. The theater has been closed for a few months, following the sale of their former building location in Hemming Park and the owners (our own Stephen Dare among them) have been on semi hiatus from the theatre business until a suitable location could be found.Downtown, sadly, was impossible as the only suitable locations are owned by the City and therefore will never be used again by any member of the species Homosapien that will pay rent or not go to jail for breaking and entering. All other buildings were demolished sometime over the past 20 years, leaving slim pickings for the intrepid theater.

So will the theatre serve food? I know you guys have a lot of restaurant equipment in storage. Any idea of what's going in the old Boomtown spot across the street? The storefront is now covered except for a small section featuring mannequins.
where in springfield?
How do you think you'll deal with the Main Street reconstruction project?

with flair, of course.
Dont you already have a lease in San Marco? How do you plan on escaping from that and what does the landlord say?
They are going to have two locations. The San Marco restaurant is a bistro concept, while the Springfield location will be more of a dinner theatre theme.
Congratulations Stephen, it'll be nice to have it back in Springfield!
I want you to get one of the very first controlledoutrage.com signs in your window or next to your cash register. Congrats on finding a location. Please keep me informed on any issues I might can help with.
Welcome back to Springfield, Stephen and Boomtown....it will be nice to see some good activity along Main St again.
Congrats on your second location! ;)
i think i'll have to be hanging out in springfield more often now, with boomtown, shantytown and the pearl(town). i haven't been to 9th and main. how is that at night?
i definitely enjoyed boomtown. i wish i had lived here sooner, or found out about it quicker after i got here. i had only been there two or three times when it closed downtown.
