looks like I was so wrong (my apologies to CS Foltz)...the nifty Fifty were apparently alive in 1921...when they devised a devious scheme to create the Timuquana Country Club ;D

LOL. I don't necessarily agree with blowing up a country club reed, but how awesome would that route have been? A straight shot from Ortega to the southside and the beaches??

it isn't just Timuquana...the folks in San Jose aren't real thrilled about a new crossing either
