Title: Historic Lee High School
Post by: MainOne on July 12, 2010, 01:46:05 PM
I am currently looking for historic photographs of Lee High School (both exterior and interior) back from its early days of the late twenties/early thirties and was told by an associate that the users of this web site might be a good source.  If you have some and wish to share them, please do.  I need them by the end of the week.  Thank you for any assistance you might lend.

My uncle was one of the inventors of 'Powder Blue' day.

My dad has several old yearbooks.  I don't have any digital files, but if you're looking for old yearbooks... I could possibly give you a hand.

Thank you, but I have access to a majority of the yearbooks.  The principal has almost every edition in her office.  Unfortunately the pictures are usually small and do not reproduce well.

I am hoping for digitally enhanced electronic format images that could possibly be used in a presentation about the school and possibly for detail reference in a future restoration of the original building.

Check with Joel McEachin at the Historic Preservation office.  They might have access to some in their files.  255-7800

You could also shoot an email to Wayne Wood.  He's a busy guy and so may not be able to meet your timeline, but he's the go-to source for any and all old architectural photos; www@jaxhistory.com
