Title: What is going on at john gorrie

i was passing by john gorrie the other day and im still confused on what is going over there are they trying to open it back up...because that side of town does need a middle school...can someone please clarify that for me

Unless something majorly changed, Gorrie was decommissioned , and utilized for textbook storage for a couple years... I THINK since then it was sold to a private party and is being converted to residential??

oh wow it should have been a middle school...that area needs one...like where is the home middle school for the stocton/myra/park/ area

It WAS John Gorrie Junior High School so in effect, it was a middle School.   Delighted to see something being done with it, rather than it remaining vacated... We all know what happens to vacated old School buildings.

I believe Lakeshore Middle serves all of Riverside and Avondale now.
