Its great to see this building get used on a regular basis.
QuoteIt’s official, says Nick Schoeppel of Infintesmal Records. Concerts/art shows will be held Fridays in July at the city-owned Snyder Memorial Church across from Hemming Plaza on Laura Street.
For several months, the local record label has worked with the city to use the historic church, which was recently a Jacksonville Jazz Festival venue. They have the go-ahead, and Schoeppel says they plan to book several bands to play each night. He said local artists’ works will be displayed, and beer and wine will be for sale.

Very cool!
This is fantastic.
Just imagine the synergy once the Trio/Barnett project is complete too.

Snyder Memorial Music Project
Jul 2, 2010
9:00pm
Inspired by artist, Jim Draper, The Synder Memorial Music Project is a collaboration between the City of Jacksonville and local music promoters, Infintesmal Records. The initiative is part of Mayor John Peyton’s effort to create new opportunities for artists in Downtown and to help drive Downtown revitalization. Opened as part of a demonstration program, Synder Memorial is being programmed for live music on Friday nights throughout July. Every Friday night in July, a DJ and three bands will perform at Synder Memorial. The DJ begins at 8 p.m. followed by three live bands from 9 p.m. until midnight.
This first Friday features the 2416, the Memphibians, and Tuffy!
Oh, there is a god! Everyone come out and support!
So this will only be held 4 times?
Kinda sounds like they are trying it out for July.
I know DVI is lurking, so maybe they can chime in???
