Great photos - as usual.

"Rouge" ?? Totally different vibe than "Rogue"!!*  :)
Any idea what is going on at 837 Stockton? Drove by there the other day, and it seems it and King Street are starting to come around.

Front page of the TU today is about another big construction project - the I-10 / I-95 interchange.

* of course, you'll probably edit the photo essay, making my comment seem strange  :P

I saw an angle the other day from the Main St Bridge where the pitched roof of the new courthouse can be seen....it seems to mimic the roofline of The Landing....doubt it was on purpose, but it works well

I think this is the best/busiest construction update in a good few months.  I asked this last month, but does anyone have more info on Sweet Pete's??  Does it have any association to the truck that parks in front of Square One??  The Avondale streetscape project looks good.

I'm also glad these got bumped back closer to the beginning of the month.

Sweet Pete's is not associated with the truck in San Marco.

Major disappointment.  Oh well, at least his truck isn't going anywhere.

Not much going on??

An 11 story medical tower, courthouse; a new bar, mixed use project, school construction/ beautification, and two retail projects in riverside; a new restaurant in downtown; a new restaurant, car wash, and apartments in springfield, a new restaurant in san marco, and two street-scape improvement projects....

I'd say there's plenty going on.  Especially compared to recent months.

Is this a signage ordinance they are running into that won't allow or approve of a sign design, or are these guys just slow??

It is so good to see so much happening around the city. We are blessed to have so many good things going on in this jacked up economy.

Obviously it is no comparison to what has happened in Atlanta in the past few years with all those new towers if Buckhead and Midtown, including Atlantic Station.

So to you it may not seem like much, but we really know what is going on here.

The carwash looks great! not.....has anything even been done to it....besides the annihilation of the trees blocking its view from Main St?

It's the trend these days for your hip drinking establishment to be unmarked.  It gives it that underground, speakeasy vibe.

Sweet Pete's has a facebook page.
And I too question the carwash on 4th Street in Historic Springfield.  What's up?

Looks like exterior improvements are just beginning.  I noticed the construction of the fence has started.  The image taken for this thread should be a good "before" photograph to compare with the proposed end product.

You will be able to stumble from Intuition Ale to Bold City.  Not the prettiest walk, but walkable nonetheless!

From today's Daily Record....

Quote• Add one to the restaurant tally. There’s a construction crew at work on the first floor of Churchwell Lofts at Bay and Market streets to build out the “Olio” restaurant to open in September. It will offer a lunch menu of upscale soups, salads and sandwich.

That is included in the construction update.  I talked to the other Sweet Pete in town (the wonderful food truck outside Square 1) and he told me the same info.
