Title: Digital Risk bringing 300 new jobs to Southside
Post by: thelakelander on May 07, 2010, 10:46:11 AM
QuoteDigital Risk LLC has officially selected Jacksonville as its new site for about 300 new positions, up from the 175 jobs the company first committed to when it sought city and state incentives.

The Maitland-based company helps monitor and manage loan portfolios, and detect loan fraud. It recently received approval from the city and state for incentives totaling up to $525,000 to bring 175 full-time jobs to Jacksonville by the end of 2012. But the company’s executives said their actual goal is 300 new hires in 12 months, which would nearly double their multimillion-dollar investment in the city.

“Jacksonville has a lot of mortgage operation centers,” which created a pool for the skill set that Digital Risk is looking for, said Ron Driggers, the company’s vice president of human excellence. He will oversee the Jacksonville operation.

Between this and LPS, 650 jobs in two days, not bad :)

With close to 20% unemployment and a number of financial folks still out of work, I'd be interested to see the salaries people can make with them. They said it themselves, moving into an area that has a pool of the people they are looking for....
