hmm, confederate park? is that the old E.H. Thompson building?
Don't know but was it taken from Karpules Museum?
Julian is correct. That photo was taken from the north end of confederate park, past the edge of the monument to the women of the southland in Confederate park. You are looking at the old car storage building from the Calude Noldan Cadillac building, now known as the EH Thompson building.
Yes, Julian hit it right on. We'll have to make these things a little more difficult.
Mind if I submit one?
What building is it and where was the shot taken?

I don't know the name of it, but it's on the SE corner of Prudential and Kings, across the street from the Wyndam Hotel and Kings Avenue skyway station.
Bingo! Here is another shot that better shows its location.

That's a nice little area of redevelopment. It was mentioned at the rail/BRT meeting, held by Councilwoman Johnson a few weeks back, that JTA is interested in purchasing this area for a potential transit center associated with BRT. Let's hope this does not happen. For some strange reason, we've historically found reasons to destroy areas where reinvestment is already taking place, instead of improving ones where it's not. Sooner or later we have to deviate from that type of planning.
How about this one?

Emmaculate Conception Church?
Close.... It is a church and it is in Jacksonville, but it's not the Emmaculate Conception.
Cathedral?
I have one...

That's at the cemetary... I forget the name!

Cathedral?
Here's another hint: It's not located in the Cathedral District or east of Main Street.
Can't be First Baptist, can it?
No, it was originally a Catholic church. I'd say its one of the most impressive and overlooked historic religious structures in the urban core.
Synder memorial?
Good guess, but no cookie.
Bethel Baptist?
Nope.
It looks like no one is going to get this one, so here's the answer....

How about this one?

Its the Old Rosary Catholic Church in Springfield. It's one of the few remaining examples of Romanesque Revival style architecture in Jacksonville. It's located on the NE corner of Laura and Cottage Streets.

The old St. Lukes maybe? This is a tough one. I have no clue.
Its actually a very cool little thing. It predates the Civil War.
Is it in Springfield?
I have no idea but would love to know where this is. That is a great picture, btw. The contrast of the gloss-black door and the green of the plants and moss growing on the door...could be artwork on a wall.
Nope, Not Springfield...
Another Hint...
It is in the architectural heritage book.
The old wine cellar at Marabanong.
4749 River Point Road.
yup.
Please tell me how to get there and what it's current use.
Its in this cal-de-sac It predates the Marabong mansion, but was incorporated into the mansion as a wine cellar.

I can't believe somebody let THAT sit there for almost 2 years with no response....tell, tell I say! What about Billie Holliday?
You know, I'm surprised that this thread didn't grow legs - maybe I'll snap a few this week too........
Here's a little bit bigger picture...yet the address is diffrent from the Marabanong Mansion directly above it.
