Here's the Jacksonville map:

Interesting.  I'm in the blue area in the map on the right at 47%, but housing only is yellow (24%).

I'm in the yellow - I guess because I can walk to the bus stop:)

I'm in the blue on both.  In both cases, the yellow is within two blocks walking distance.

They have me as blue on both, but a comparable house on the westside or southside is in the yellow, even though mine is cheaper still.

Good tool, just not 100% accurate.

Its not about the price of the house...it is housing price related to income...and is likely based on census block information.

That makes a little sense, but considering the numbers I saw from the failed Avery Village plan, the 5 mile radius of household income (basically right from my house) was one of the highest in NE Florida, while the housing was one of the cheapest.

Well... Looks like a majority of the Jacksonville area needs better transportation. However, JTA doesnt seem to care much about the good use of mass transit. Boo Hoo to them.

Well, I am yellow for housing and blue for transportation. Mainly because I live 45 minutes away from Downtown Jacksonville.

The cost of living in the suburbs is living in the suburbs.
