Some of you might recall my defense of some of the street people which are, in spite of themselves, victims. Somehow my desire for a mission open to prostitutes was twisted by Cindi into meaning "Ocklawaha supports child molesters..." We had a big online blowout over that one, (my first blowout in 5 years of forums). Interestingly this happens on my street at a house address only two numbers from my own.
Oh and if you think of running to St. Johns County for "safety," forget it, Jacksonville leaks. I'm sure glad that is NOT the reason I'm living down here, if it was, I would be really sorry tonight.
Today our neighbor here in World Golf Village, Heritage Landing, came over telling my wife and I, "I got this letter printed on a computer and sealed with glue, it said:
"Dearest
I've been watching you, you are very pretty. I know your husband works all night and that you are all alone.
PS, Your Kid's are sure cute."
Within 10 minutes a police officer was here taking a report and telling her, we'll just have to keep an eye out for anything out of the norm. My neighbor is scared beyond belief, she is from Argentina and knowing the Latins, this shit happens in Jacksonville, NOT Buenos Aires or Bogota.
The final stroke is the postmark JACKSONVILLE, I thought about my accuser and wonder if those folks would really stoop that low... Should we be afraid or VERY afraid? Pretty sick shit wouldn't you agree?

I think me,the wife, and kids would be packing up and moving. Just not worth the risk to wait this one out. I wouldn't be able to trust anyone if I got a letter like that.

So you are saying that even when you get a threatening letter, you would just blow it off and say "well it's bad everywhere, I should just stay put and keep my family in danger"? Let's not be naive about it.
I have allready taught my kids to kill with either hand or foot...............might be time to start packing some heat because no ones makes me move in that manner! If the sick bastard shows up on my doorstep, the corenor will be removing from inside my home!
OCK, that is Horrible! I would be terrified out of my mind. We have quite a few group homes for this type of person less than a mile away and it is very scary. Then you see these animals on TV killing little girls everyday... I wish they would lock them up forever!

Do you know if the FBI has been notified. You stated that the note was sealed with glue. That glue can be traced to manufacture and retailer
We neighbors have NO IDEA except that the police (St. Johns County Sheriff) really are either callous, calculating or they just blew her off. I'm leaning toward their blowing it off, "dumb rich soccer mom," or something like that. I'm equally sure that God forbid, something DOES happen, we'll have every one here from the FBI and CBS to the KGB and Mossad. Adam Walsh will be broadcasting live from my poppy patch, and Cindi will be posting on MJ how my desire to help victims (hookers), brought all of this down on us. Whatever...
The FBI should be called considering the recent news.
We think (not proved) that whoever sent that letter used gloves, glue, and probably a Post Office that isn't local to him.
Rest assured that should this would-be molester or rapist decide to stop by at my house I have a Chicago Typewriter that can sing poetic prose at 45. I've also told the neighbor that both myself and my son-in-law are armed and dangerous. My "vacation" to Vietnam made me a crazy enough bastard that I'll sit down to a PB&J sandwich while the sicko bleeds out. "Yes officer, I would have called 911 when I first shot him but I couldn't find the phone number!"

Most likely sounds like someone is just messing with them. The last part "PS your kids are cute" is really the give away, but regardless it does mean that someone has payed enough attention to notice his and her work habbits.
So most likely a neighboor.
Shotgun and a sidearm is what Id suggest along with training to use it in a stressful situation.
