I remember the time before the internet very well. It seemed like the world was more layed back.

We'd probably be better off. Back to television and radio as the major communications mediums; the world won't stop turning if the internet broke or ceased to be believe me. We'd still have computers for word processing, games, television, etc., even radio streaming. So all will not be lost.
"HU"
If Internet broke we would go back to Windows 95.
No MetroJacksonville.com

That isnt possible even now.
People have a misconception that lots of data would be lost if the internet broke. On the contrary, it's almost impossible to remove information from your hard drive, even when you want to. The internet would only be down temporarily and we could retrieve virtually all necessary data to prevent a total melt-down of society & industry.
I would pack up. Probably some internet California way.
Wow, think of it. It's possible we'd all get hours back in a day. More time for TV? Maybe we should break those too and then we'd have to talk to our families and neighbors. We'd be so bored, we'd invite people over for dinner, or we'd walk around our neighborhoods looking for someone to talk to. OMG...the sky is falling. LOL

What if you use the internet to talk to family, friends & neighbors? Is it only 'quality time if there's food involved?
Good point. I stand corrected. Hadn't thought of that, although I love face time. But not everyone lives close by, do they? Now I need to buy me one of those web cams, download Skype and call my cousins in Oregon, Connecticut and Melbourne.
Great video, Ocklawaha! My man Steve Allen and a vintage music video!
