Kudos DRC.  Maybe all of the discussion here has really sent the message to the city.  First Starbucks now One 12.

although those windows are pretty nice i hate to see them covered up like that.  is this just temporary during construction or what?

Ummm...That was the second Starbucks, actually.  Why does no one count the one at the Landing?... Curious.

I think he just meant in relation to the Starbucks being first with the signage and now One12....not disrespecting the first Starbucks at the landing.

we were just surprised that the drc approved signage that stuck out from the wall rather than being flat against it.

this board is always critical of the downtown sign ordinances and their negative effects on downtown vibrancy.

^ That's exactly what I meant guys.  Starbucks challenged the DRC and was the first to be allowed signage that protruded from the wall.  Now One12 is being allowed more vibrant signage that would have normally been denied.  If this trend continues, expect to see more exciting signage downtown that'll add to the festive and exciting experience.
