Tiger Woods will give a statement Friday at 11 a.m. at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse but will not take questions from the media. According to his IMG agent, Woods will apologize for his numerous extra-marital affairs.
A PGA Tour communications official directed all questions about Woods' appearance to Glenn Greenspan, a media official for Woods' ETW Corporation in Orlando.
"We're just facilitating things for them," said James Cramer of the Tour. "This is Tiger's people putting this on."
“Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11 a.m. Friday at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse,†the statement said. “Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologize for his behavior.â€
No questions will be allowed at the meeting. The statement said a pool of reporters would be present. It is not clear what was meant by friends, colleagues and close associates.
Woods has not appeared in public since a car accident near his Orlando home Nov. 27. He has since admitted to multiple extra-marital affairs and recently spent time at a behavorial clinic in Hattiesburg, Miss. He last played on the PGA Tour at the Tour Championship in Atlanta, where he won his second FedEx Cup title.

my thoughts exactly. Athletes are athletes and nothing more. They should not be pedistalized as they are (sorry for the made up word), once away from the playing field their private thoughts and actions should be that, private.
Unless your private actions get caught on camera, then you're just kinda f*cked either way.
It's the 24/7 media outlets that have f'ed up society. They may make the unimportant stories into national headlines for all the mush for brains humans inhabiting the planet. Just think of what the world would be like if these outlets existed in the 40's when America was truely turning itself into a super power.
Yeah but its the society that gives them the energy. I just change the channel. I dont even watch the news anymore, just Sports Final. Men and woman cheat on their spouses every day. Tiger just has more money,,, so what,, yawn!!!
