Title: Hello from Albany, NY
Post by: willr25 on February 08, 2010, 05:05:45 PM
Hi all-
We visited Jax last February (my wife has some family there).  One cousin lived in Riverside and we loved it there, and now we are thinking of moving south to get away from the horrible NY winters.  Jacksonville is definitely on the top of our list.

After reading through this site for a few days, the city seems a lot like Albany.  I've found the site really informative and helpful.

Thanks.

Shwaz - Sounds good!  I'd be excited to live in a city with an NFL franchise.  We get the Giants in the summer for training camp, but the stadium is about 3 hours away.  How much are Jags tickets these days?

Samiam - I'll be sure to look at Springfield, the articles on this site about the different neighborhoods are great!

Who puts the site together?

Jags tickets are extremely affordable. They just lowered prices and are the cheapest in the league in ticket price and gameday cost.

http://jaguars.com/tickets/seasontickets.aspx (http://jaguars.com/tickets/seasontickets.aspx)

New ways to pay, new ways to save
Season tickets start at just $300 ($30 per game)
NEW 8-month, interest-free payment plan (available until March 19, 2010)
NEW 30/30 Plan available in the general bowl: lock in your 2010 price for three seasons and pay for 30 games over 30 months interest-free, no deposit required (available only until March 31, 2010).
Price REDUCTIONS in eight sections throughout the stadium

Great value, great benefits
Guaranteed lowest per-game price: Season Ticket prices provide up to a 20% savings when compared to single-game prices
All season ticket holders receive a Jaguars Rewards Card which qualifies them for exclusive discounts at many First Coast businesses.
Season ticket holders get the opportunity to secure tickets for home playoff games and a chance to buy additional single-game tickets at a special season ticket holder price ahead of the general public.
Season ticket holders also receive the ability to re-sell or forward tickets on Jaguars TicketExchange and Ticket Forwarding.
In short, season tickets present the BEST SAVINGS and BEST SEAT LOCATIONS that the Jaguars have to offer!

Adding to what Shwaz said, there's not a bad seat in the house and the gameday atmosphere is terrific.  Many players who enjoy interacting with the fans, great cheerleaders who also take the time to interact with fans, great setting, and of course the best mascot in professional sports.  The ticket office is extraordinarily helpful too.  Also, if you decide to buy tickets, consider joining a team at Tony Boselli's myteamteal.com to support the Jaguars' long-term future, gain access to special events, and be entered into drawings for merchandise and travel opportunities.

Hey there Albany! Football fans are welcomed with open arms here! Depsite what the critics may say this a great place stay, a big city with a small town feel is the best way to put it. And the weather is always great!! And we've dodged hurriance's since 1964. Come on down!!!  ;D
