So.. I'm thinking about moving back to riverside, after a 4 year absence. I've found some great apts, and looking to move next moth. Since i don't drive, i depend on JTA for transit. While looking to see what buses i would be able to take after work... i found out that no buses run into riverside from downtown after 9:30pm. This is kinda crazy, there are so many other buses that run until midnight or at least 10:30. ???

Had the same problem in Honolulu in the 70's. Something about ridership. Ended up taking a taxi when staying out late down town.
Omarv, do you work downtown until that late? Maybe you could find somebody who goes West who might carpool with you if you help pay for gas, etc.; if no one at your job does, you could advertise throughout the building where you work. Put a note on each company's community bulletin board with your work phone or email address...Can you look for another great apartment near a busline that does run that late, maybe, even if it's not where you want to be in Riverside? I know it's not what you want but it sounds like you have to be somewhat practical right now. Best of luck to you.

If i worked downtown, it would be a lot easier to get home. Thing is... i work in Deerwood Park. :-\

I e-mailed them about this a while back. I live in Mandarin, and use the JTA where I can when I need to get downtown. I asked them if they could at the very least extend hours on Art Walk Wednesdays, but of course, no response.
In theory we expect public services to be motivated by fulfilling public requests, but in practice, no one expects that from JTA. In fact, just the opposite.

well I've been in the same house for 15 years, its time for a change. Don't want to become stagnant, i think everyone should change it up every few years...until you're ready to settle. I'll still own in springfield...
